Traveling outside of the US, I found myself in places like Iceland, Norway and Scotland, which were surrounded by water. In addition to landscape images, I really enjoy varying my shutter speed to create the look that I am looking for of moving water. Back in North America, the Oregon coast and The Canadian Rockies also provide the same opportunities.
Olympic National Park
Just north and south of Face Rock State Scenic Viewpoint in Bandon, is a big Oregon coast attraction in and of itself. The geology of this place, varies from 50 million years old to over 200 million years old, it's an enormous mixed bag of objects in and around the tideline.
Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon, Iceland

The Diamond Beach is a strip of black sand belonging to the greater Breiðamerkursandur glacial plain, located by Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon on the South Coast of Iceland.
St Joseph, Michigan
St Joseph Lighthouse
The Outer Lighthouse is a 35-foot tall tower topped by a round watch room. There is also a St. Joseph North Pier Inner Lighthouse in the middle of the North Pier. The lights are connected by an elevated catwalk that extends from the shore to the outer light.
Isle of Harris
Harris is the southern part of the Scottish Hebridean island of Lewis and Harris. It’s known for sandy beaches like Luskentyre and Scarista on the west coast, and for rugged mountains in the north.
Mistaya Canyon on the Icefields Parkway
Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada
Mistaya Canyon is a canyon formed by the Mistaya River. Just off the Icefields Parkway, makes it is easy to access its distinctive curvy canyon walls . The trail to the canyon is off a large parking area on the west side of the Parkway, south of the North Saskatchewan River.
Reine is the administrative centre of Moskenes Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The fishing village is located on the island of Moskenesøya in the Lofoten archipelago, above the Arctic Circle, about 300 kilometres southwest of the town of Tromsø.
Pingvellir National Park, Iceland
Þingvellir National Park is locationed between the European and N. American tectonic plates. Gullfoss (translated to 'Golden Falls') it is one of Iceland's most iconic and beloved waterfalls, found in the Hvítá river canyon in Southwest Iceland. Gullfoss is the largest volume waterfall in Europe.
Sea stars and anemone
Sea stars and anemone are found in the lowest tide zone where they are rarely out of water.
The Oregon Coast is a coastal region of the U.S. state of Oregon is bordered by the Pacific Ocean to its west and the Oregon Coast Range to the east. It stretches from the California state border in the south to the Columbia River in the north.
Cape Breton Island is at the eastern end of the Canadian province of Nova Scotia. Its Cabot Trail is a roadway encircling the island, passing forests and rugged coastline.
